STENT ...

STENT

A little strip of steel stands between

Me and my Maker

Launched in a balloon

On its lonely journey

Up the wire

My circus – but without fanfare or laughs

This little strip of steel

Was spat out

Into a sea of red blood

There to rest

Until I finally rest

  1. Hi, Jim!

    'Calliope' here.

I came over from AuthorNation to have a looksie. I really like this poem. I was expecting to find funny and found this gem. Oh, there is humor...kind of a dry humor that can only be understood in those serious, pay attention, this is real-life, important stuff here! kind of way.

And reading your bio...how interesting! I'm a creative writing tutor and expecting my first book out this year, too!

Oh, to be in Dublin. You lucky dog, you. I'm green with envy.
